Natural resources


All the mineral resources known in the land of Tangail. That is iron, coal and oil. None of this could be generated. It is known from Kedarnath Majumdar's account of Mymensingh. In 17 AD, Dinanath Sen examined the soil of Shalban in Madhupur and suggested that there might be an iron mine here. The government later appointed a chemical expert to test the Madhupur forest. He also agreed on the possibility of having iron mines.
